I finally got around to installing spambouncer, as setting my firewall to disallow packets from people after they spam me once still wasn't good enough. However, the installation instructions were a bit annoying; they gave all sorts complex .forward file contents to call procmail, and after giving up when they all completely killed my mail, I realized that OS X sendmail is set up by default to automatically call procmail if you've got a .procmailrc file, and that I'd just wasted about half an hour trying to make it work. Still, if it really manages to eliminate spam, the aggrevation was worth it.
unfortunately, i've just noticed that not only is iJournal not word-wrapping as I type; it's also not checking my spelling as I type even though the option is turned on in the Edit menu; I'm didn't even realize the option was there in the menu, but if it is, it should work, dammit. Especially since Cocoa provides the spell-checking for free, and it seems like it should actually take more effort to have it not spellcheck for me. sigh.
Hmm, the auto music detect is also broken, and i KNOW that usually works.
ok, quitting and restarting iJournal fixed all that. nevermind.
